Family trips Sea trips & islands
The Sea Scope semi-submarine offers a different way to see the Red Sea from Hurghada. You sit below sea level and watch coral reefs, fish and marine life through large panoramic windows, which makes the trip a natural pick for families, children and non-swimmers who want to see the sea without a full swim. The outing runs daily and starts at about 10:00, with hotel pickup and drop-off in Hurghada included. In total it takes around three hours.
The Sea Scope is not a real submarine. Its viewing deck sits below the water line behind large windows, but the boat does not dive, so you can stay dry from start to finish. During the cruise along the Hurghada coast the boat also stops for snorkeling in clear water. Anyone who fancies a swim can get close to the coral and fish, while everyone else keeps watching from the deck. Snorkeling is optional.
Help is available on board if you need it. Photos and videos are optional extras, and personal expenses are not covered. If you plan to snorkel, bring swimwear and a towel, and consider beach shoes and a light cover-up. Your exact pickup time depends on your hotel and is confirmed by message after booking, so please give a valid phone number and email.
