Cairo by Plane: Pyramids & Egyptian Museum

A flight turns the long road to the capital into a comfortable day out. On this Cairo day trip by plane from Hurghada, you are collected from your hotel and taken to the airport for a domestic flight, so you spend your hours in Cairo instead of on the highway. The trip runs daily and takes about 16 hours. When you land, your Egyptologist guide meets you and you continue in a private air-conditioned vehicle to the Giza Plateau.

At Giza you stand before the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure and learn about the civilisation that built them. You then visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. After lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant, the day continues at the Egyptian Museum, where statues, royal treasures and archaeological finds fill the galleries. In the evening you fly back to Hurghada and are driven to your hotel.

Flights, airport transfers, lunch and bottled water are included, as are the entrance tickets for the Giza Pyramids area and the Egyptian Museum. Entry inside the Great Pyramid, drinks with lunch and tips are extra. A valid passport or accepted ID is required for the flight, and the itinerary may change with flight schedules or traffic.
